Nebraska Association of School Boards Selects WoodRiver Energy for Natural Gas

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA [April 5, 2022] – The Nebraska Association of School Boards (NASB) has partnered with WoodRiver Energy as its new natural gas supplier for its Nebraska Joint Utility Management Program (NJUMP).   Since 2004, NJUMP has grown to serve 60 Nebraska school districts and ESUs with a cost-effective solution for the supply of their natural gas.  The NJUMP Board of Trustees along with its independent advisor performed an extensive review of proposals by several natural gas suppliers, ultimately awarding WoodRiver Energy the three-year contract.  

“NASB and the NJUMP Board of Trustees are excited to collaborate with a customer-focused natural gas supplier having the experience, determination, and expertise to meet the varied and changing needs of Nebraska schools and ESUs,” said Jim Luebbe, Secretary & Treasurer, NJUMP. “NJUMP has offered an important and highly valued service to NASB’s members since its inception and this partnership ensures it will continue to deliver the benefits everyone has come to expect.”  

Since 2014, WoodRiver Energy has grown to serve thousands of customers in nine states and Canada with specialized solutions to meet the needs of commercial, industrial, educational, and agricultural clients.  The company’s specialized approach greatly benefits educational organizations and their unique budget challenges.
