In 2014, our managing partners set out to create a company devoted to helping small and medium-sized commercial, industrial, educational, and agricultural with specialized market solutions to bring savings and manage risk through natural gas.

That devotion has grown to include helping thousands of customers in seven states and Canada with their natural gas. Now, we’re taking this approach to help manage your electricity. We’ve teamed up with Shell Energy to provide an energy management system, ConnectedControl, to reduce energy consumption, improve operations, and reduce maintenance costs.

Leadership Team

With more than 80+ years of combined energy experience, our leadership team is devoted to helping our customers achieve more through customized energy solutions.  

Marc is the co-founder and president. With more than 30 years of industry experience, Marc managed Seminole Energy’s marketing business in the Rockies and upper Midwest before starting WoodRiver Energy in 2014.
VP of Business Development, Don, has 20 years of experience in trading and selling natural gas. Most recently, he led a sales office of 25 people marketing gas in the Rocky Mountain and upper Midwest states. At WoodRiver, Don leads the company’s business development efforts and supports the company’s on-going sales and marketing efforts.
VP of Sales, Stacci has 20 years of experience of marketing natural gas in Nebraska and Iowa. In that time, she has developed a wealth of knowledge and experience in the business and the region. With WoodRiver, Stacci is leading the effort to develop WoodRiver’s market position in the region.
Starr McNamara comes to WoodRiver Energy with more than 20 years of experience in a variety of senior management roles in disciplines that include finance, accounting, legal, audit, tax, human resources and operations. In her role as CFO, Starr provides financial leadership to the company, oversees all accounting and administrative aspects, and works closely with the other executive roles to set company strategy.
